Work requests
The work request (DI) is the entry point of every unplanned need: an operator notices an anomaly, a technician reports wear, a SCADA alert exceeds a threshold. It is reviewed and then converted into a work order.
Creating a request
Work > Work requests > New request (or New request from an equipment record, or from the mobile application):
- Site and equipment (optional but strongly advised: it carries the history and the criticality);
- Title and description: describe the symptom, not the solution;
- Priority: Emergency (immediate stop, danger), Urgent (to handle within 24 h), Normal, Low;
- Safety impact and production impact: two flags that weigh in the review and can trigger a specific approval circuit;
- photos can be attached (immediately on mobile, after creation on the site).
The number DI-year-000000 is assigned at creation; the requester follows progress in the list (statuses New, Approved, Rejected, Converted).
Reviewing a request
The planner or supervisor has three actions:
- Approve: the request is validated and awaits conversion;
- Reject: a reason is mandatory and visible to the requester;
- Convert to work order: creates the work order (corrective type by default) with the equipment, priority and description; the request becomes Converted and keeps the link to the work order.
Requests subject to an approval circuit
If an approval circuit applies (for example "every request with a safety impact goes through the supervisor then the planner"), the direct buttons are replaced by the circuit's state ("In circuit 1/2"). The approvers of the current step see the Approve and Reject buttons; when the last step is approved, the request is approved automatically; a rejection at any step rejects it. Approvers are notified through the bell and find their files in My approvals. Circuit configuration is described in the corresponding chapter.
Automatically created requests
- SCADA alerts (threshold exceeded on a meter) create an urgent request in the name of "SCADA" and notify the planners.
- The AI agent can propose a request for a recurring alert or a degraded equipment; it is only created upon your validation.
