Softic GMAO mobile application
The mobile application (Android and iOS) is meant for technicians in the field: their work orders, meter readings, photos, permits and work requests, with or without network. It also works on rugged terminals with a barcode scanner.
Installation and sign-in
The Android APK is distributed by your administrator (download link or enterprise store). At first launch, enter the server address (for example https://gmao.softic.io/services), your CMMS e-mail and password; a network connection is required at this step and for synchronisations, then work continues offline. The device is registered on the server (Administration > Mobile devices) and can be revoked there at any time.
What is loaded on the device
Your scope: the work orders assigned to you or to your team (open, plus recently completed), their steps, parts, labor, photos and permits, the equipment and meters of your site, the parts with the site's stock, your requests. Synchronisation runs automatically at start-up, when the application resumes, after each entry and when the network returns; the button in the top bar forces it.
Screens
- Home: counters (in progress, to do, pending sync), shortcuts (scan, reading, new request, my work orders), today's work.
- Work orders: filters and search; record with Start, Hold, Resume, Complete (downtime hours, notes); steps and checkpoints; consumed parts (catalogue with the site's stock); labor hours; photos (camera or gallery, automatically resized); linked permits.
- Assets: search or label reading; equipment record, meters, work orders, new request.
- Meters: after reading or searching an equipment, entry of the new values (a cumulative meter refuses a lower value).
- Request: title, description, priority, impacts, equipment; it follows the server's approval circuit.
- Permits: checklist, gas test, signature as performer (nominative, time-stamped).
- Inventory: choice of warehouse, adding parts by code reading or search, entry of counted quantities; the count is created on the server and validated by the planner in Stock > Stock counts.
- New part and New equipment (from the home page, the asset list or a record for a sub-equipment): creation in the field with a photo; the part or equipment is usable immediately on the device (reading, request) and created on the server at synchronisation. The administrator can forbid these creations (
Mobile.AllowPartCreation,Mobile.AllowAssetCreation). - Sync: network state, last synchronisation, queue (retry, discard), conflicts.
- Settings: language, sign-out, clearing local data, last crash log to share with support.
Label reading
The Scan button opens the camera (QR GMAO:<tag> or barcode). On a rugged terminal, aim the label with the built-in scanner: the code is entered in the search field and validated automatically.
Offline and conflicts
Every entry is recorded immediately on the device, then sent as soon as possible; a unique identifier per entry guarantees that it is never applied twice, even after a cut in the middle of a send. In case of disagreement, the server wins on status (for example a work order cancelled in the meantime: your start is refused and reported in Sync > Conflicts) and the technician wins on entries (steps, hours, readings, photos are always accepted as long as the work order is not closed).
Administration
Administration > Mobile devices lists the devices (user, model, version, last synchronisation), their exchange log, and allows the immediate revocation of a lost device or a departed technician. The Mobile.CompletedDays setting fixes how many days completed work orders remain visible on the device, Mobile.MaxPhotoMb the maximum size of a photo.
