Electronic invoicing
Invoicing menu. Everything applies to the current company (your account's company, or the one chosen in the top bar).
The life of an invoice
- Draft: enter the header (customer, dates, reference, withholding tax, stamp duty) and the lines, from the item catalog or as free lines. Amounts (discounts, VAT, line taxes, stamp, withholding) are computed by the application on every save.
- Check validates the invoice against the rules of the country's electronic format (tax identifiers, addresses, lines, totals) and announces the number it will receive.
- Issue assigns the final number (continuous per company, type and year, e.g. FA-2026-00001), freezes the content and produces the legal XML. The invoice can no longer be edited.
- Sign applies the company's electronic seal through the signing service.
- Submit sends the signed document to the administration's platform (El Fatoora / TTN in Tunisia). Validation tracking is automatic; Check platform forces a check.
- Accepted: the invoice receives its reference, date and verification code (QR), printed on the copy given to the customer. Rejected: the reason is displayed; you can return it to draft (it keeps its number) and issue it again after correction.
An issued but not submitted invoice can be cancelled (the number stays used). An accepted invoice is only corrected by a credit note, created from its sheet: it copies the lines, can be edited, then follows the same cycle.
Printing
Print opens the invoice in the interface language, ready for Ctrl+P or saving as PDF. A draft carries a "no legal value" banner, an invoice not yet accepted the mention "awaiting validation".
Customers and items
Customers: name, identifier type (tax number, ID card...), identifier, address. The identifier is checked on issuing. Items: code, description, unit, price, default VAT and line tax, for fast line entry.
Invoicing settings (administrator)
Per company: printed and transmitted tax identity, platform account (TTN login and password), signing seal (name, role, PIN, client identifier), payment (bank account, terms, due days), numbering (prefixes, digits), stamp duty, VAT rates and taxes. Test connections checks the signing service and the platform. Passwords and PINs are encrypted and never displayed again.
The Demo tab loads a fictitious dataset and enables simulation mode: signing and submission imitated locally, without seal or account, for demonstrations and tests. To simulate a rejection, write SIMULER-REJET in the invoice note.
Other regimes and legal export
The cycle described here is Tunisia's (TEIF, El Fatoora). Other countries use the same screen with their own rules: see the Angola chapter (series numbering, chaining, SAF-T export). For a regime without a filing platform, the Legal export tab of Invoicing > Settings produces the period file to hand over to the tax authority.
Printing
The printable invoice carries the country's legal mentions, the verification code (QR) or the hash excerpt, and the amount in words in the printing language (French, English, Portuguese, Arabic) with the currency's decimals.
Invoices from elsewhere
An invoice can also arrive through a file import, an ERP connector or the API: it then appears as a draft in this screen, with its external reference, and follows the same cycle. See the corresponding chapters.
